Fortune did it again!! We were awarded the American Trucking Association’s (ATA) President’s Trophy for Safety for fleets under 25 million miles for 2022! Companies can only win this award once every five years. We were last honored with this award in 2017 and our team did it again, achieving yet another national award recognizing the outstanding safety accomplishments of our company!
But that’s not all that we, at Fortune Transportation, have accomplished as a team in the past year! We have been awarded the TWO MOST recognized safety awards in our industry from the TWO MOST recognized trade associations in our industry.
A few months back we also won the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Safety Award for Excellence in Safety for carriers in the 15-24.99 million miles category. The TCA is a group of trucking companies that are Full Truckload carriers throughout North America. There is even a TCA sub-group that holds its own convention that is specific just to Reefer carriers. This group includes many of our “friendly competitor” Canadian trucking companies as well as our American friends.
The American Trucking Association (ATA) is a group of trucking Associations, like the MN, NM and CO Trucking Associations as well as the individual companies. ATA has a much larger span to include companies like UPS and FedEx and crosses into things like tankers, LTL, straight trucks, logging, sand, gravel, cement, etc., basically anything that gets hauled on a truck, no matter how big, how small, how much or how little.
Our owner, Perry Olson, summed it up best, saying: “It is a tremendous honor for the people of Fortune Transportation to be recognized on a national level for the outstanding efforts we put forth into safely sharing the road with our fellow motorists while delivering the goods we all need to live our lives every day.”
At Fortune Transportation we have one goal: Get Everyone Home Safe Every Time! To have all been recognized for excellence, as a Team, on such a national level, is indeed a great point of pride. Well done everyone!!
